Rylee Cella is a Philadelphia-based writer and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Drexel University. She is currently querying agents for her debut novel, an adult fiction book that explores forgiveness and friendship. When not immersed in the wonderful world of books, she enjoys travel, theatre, and mediocre baking.
Rylee has both paid and volunteer experience within the literary community. Most recently, she taught fiction writing workshops for Drexel's 2024 Writing Festival. She also served as the poetry editor and social media manager for Drexel's literary magazine, The Paper Dragon, and has read for Philadelphia Stories as well. Rylee has worked as a ghost-writer for blogs, as well as an editor for academic works, both freelance and on the editorial team for Arcadia University's scholarly journal, The Compass.

Admittedly, I used to be a bit of a book thief. It started in pre-school, when I swiped a Peter Pan book from my classroom library. I no longer steal books and have been making up for my toddler thievery by stuffing little libraries around my neighborhood with my excess of books.
Growing up, books could be found in every room of my house; my mom's paperback thrillers with creased spines and curled corners, and my dad's neatly stacked hardcovers. We were a big library family, but for the Harry Potter series, my dad would secretly take me to the bookstore to buy the next book in the series. I'd devour the book, then pass it along to him. My mom didn't know we owned the entire series for years.
